3rd Workshop on BLink (DDN WAN) was held at Khulna Telephone Office on 20 Jan 2011. About 25 BTCL officers from Khulna Division participated. Mr Azizul Haque, Member (Admin) and MD in charge inaugurated the program, organized by Marketing Cell.

 

 

2nd Workshop on BLink (wide area network) was held in Chittagong at Telephone Bhaban, Agrabad on 06 Jan 2011 (10-17 hrs). The workshop, arranged by Marketing Cell, was inaugurated by MD, BTCL and participants were 25 officers from Chittagong and Sylhet region. Next workshops will be held at Khulna and Rangpur.
 
 

 

     Digital Innovation Fair-2010, arranged by A2I project of Prime Minister's Office, were held at Chittagong Gymnasium on 11-13 Nov 2010, at Khulna Zia Hall on 27-28 Nov 2010, at Sylhet Gymnasium on 21-22 Dec 2010 and at Rajshahi Stadium Gymnasium on 29-30 Dec 2010 . Pictures scrolling above are of Rajshahi fair. Similar fairs will be held at  Rangpur ( Jan 2011) and at Dhaka (10-14 Mar 2011). A day-long workshop inaugurated by MD Dr Abu Sayed Khan was held on BLink (Broadband Wide Area Network) for mid-level officers on 12 Dec 2010 at BTCL Head Office. Similar workshops are scheduled in different regions next.

 

Dr. Abu Sayed Khan, FCA has taken charge of MD, BTCL on 06 Dec 2010, in addition to the charge of Member Finance, after retirement of Engr Absar Alam, ex MD in charge.

BTCL has signed an agreement with chartered accountant firm SF Ahmed & Co. to implement computerized accounting system from top to bottom levels.

Caller ID facility has already been given to the digital phones in the country except some numbers of NEC, Ericsson and GDT exchanges. Subscriber will need a caller ID Phone set.
